Craps is that famous dice game known as Seven-Eleven. It can be played both in the land-based casinos and online, though. The online casinos offer craps, but they look exactly the same as the land-based version with the replica craps table.
The player must be able to put his bets, roll the dice, and wait for the outcome. Local Craps Games Meanwhile, Craps is also played locally, known as the “street craps”. So far, there are only two dice games that can be played with real money, and the craps are one of those.
The rules and tips for playing craps are pretty easy to understand. It could easily be played in a land-based casino, just like what’s seen in playing craps online. Now, let’s take a look at some basic information that you should know about craps and how the game must be played.
If you have ever played craps, you must already be familiar with the table. It consists of a green rug that comes printed with white text. There is a huge diagram that shows the numbers for different types of bets. The layout of different sections of the table is the same in craps. This means that every section of the table features the same options for placing bets.
16 players play craps, and the game is a two-dice one, as given in the previous sections. Every player has to place their bets before the dealer rolls the dice on the table. The person taking the bets is called a shooter, who has to place the bets on “pass” and “don’t pass” sections of the table.
After each player has made their bets, the shooter tosses the dice and throws them to the opposite end of the table in a craps game. The first roll is known as the “come-out roll”. This roll functions to establish a point which could be any number except 2, 3, 7, 11, and 12.
The shooter rolls the dice. If the results are 7 or 11, the pass line bet will be declared the winner of the come-out roll. This bet loses if the first roll yields 2, 3, and 12. If the result is any of the remaining numbers, the player gets a point.
The goal is to throw the dice on the opposite end of the table. The fun part about craps is that each dice is assigned a nickname. For example, the number 2 is called snake eyes, and 10 is called puppy paws, hard ten. Similarly, 11 is Yo Eleven and 5 is After Five, Little Phoebe.
Line bet is one of the most popular types of craps bet that the player could make without the assistance of a dealer. This bet challenges the shooter to win. Simply put, the line bets win the round if the results of the first dice are either 7 or 11. The shooter will lose the round should the results of the dice are 2, 3, and 12. If any other number shows up, you will get a point. The dice are to be rolled again until the number 7 shows up.
As the name suggests, the multi-roll bets require the shooter to roll the dice a few times before the results are announced.
Commonly known as doubles, this bet requires the player to roll both of the dices and expects the number showing up in the results to be the same for both the dices. These bets are held valid on numbers 4, 6, 8, and 10 only.
For example, if the numbers that appear on the dice are 4 and 4 then the player will win in this round if any of the winning numbers mentioned above comes out before 7.
This one is pretty common. The players bet that the numbers 4, 6, 8, or 10 will show up as the result on the first roll before the shooter throws a 7 or 11. The player wins this round if the dice display 4, 6, 8, and 10.
Also called the Big Six, the players are supposed to bet that the shooter will throw 6 before 7. Similarly, this bet could be placed on the number 8. The player bets that the shooter will throw the number 8 before 7.
The player can bet on one or more numbers when a round starts. Simply put, it is a bet on which number will appear on the dice before 7. A player may place a bet on any of the numbers enlisted below: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10.
You are given the total bet amount on “buy bets”. The only issue is that you are supposed to pay a fixed 5% commission on these bets.
The player gets to choose any of the numbers from the above, along with the bet amount for the same. The player will be declared the winner should the number 7 shows up before the selected number.
In a single roll, the bet is placed on 7. The player bets that the result of the next betting round will be seven. The horn bet is on the numbers 2, 3, 11, and 12.
In this bet, the player has to choose a number combination. They bet on two digits that will appear at the same time on both dice. For example, 3-3 or 5-4.
These bets are for the players and are to be placed before the shooter starts the round. The bet could be $1 and $10.
Then there are the bonus craps that are $1 – $25 and must be placed before the shooter throws the dice.
As the name suggests, players get a chance to place multiple bets. For instance, they can place a bet on the horn and the hard ways.
The working bet simply means that the bet is in play. The common examples of working bets are come bets and pass line. If the player suddenly decides not to throw a bet during the dice roll, then the bet becomes the not-working bet. The examples are “buy and place bets”.
